Demos & Tapes:

I have some demos, live and master's to their LP.

Singles & EPs:

One 45 on the Sonic label from Milford. Underground early 70's raw folk-rocker, death depression influenced by Viet Nam.

Albums & LPs:

Lp titled Chameleon. Keep your eye out for this one! It's on the IGL label though it was recorded in Dakota City at the Shadrack Recoring Studio (an abandoned Cremery) on a Teac 3340 in 1973. This brought down over $600 for a copy 25 years ago! Seen this discribed on the spiders web  as a Rural Wasted Loner sound that Neil Young and Crazy Horse only hinted at. Well yea they were more than influnced by them on a few songs and had a  great underground American rural swang. Very unique groove with lyrics that must be heard (erh listened to). A major addition to a very few  top psych collection's around the world. A collector from Belgium who's heard it all and sold it all put's this in his top 10, me too. That could be skewed because I lived 15 miles away and tracked Steve Fox (Writer and arranger) down and scored a few dozen SS copies , 45's and tapes but no I'm still in love. Will finish bio,  comments, pics and sounds in the near future.

Clean up and the death of the Forums

Looks like I may have to change the method of becoming a member because we have been invaded by spambots.

That said I've dumped the under used forum and member profiles will no longer be updated to the front page. Which should make the flow of new entries easier to promote.

I haven't been spending time on the site much lately cause I know there is a part of me that wants to start a rebuild to fix and tweak a few things. Right now I'm not sure that I want to spend the next few months doing that. But who knows, winter is coming.

Updates

Just did a major update to the Drupal CMS core and to a number of modules. I haven't really dug to far in to see if anything is buggy. If you notice something that simply isn't working contact me at davo@ugarchives.com. More to come but I most sleep, DaVo

Spam

Seems that I can't turn my back without some jerk posting Spam in the forums. I'll be cleaning them out and deleting accounts over the next few days. Also the site will be down for a while sometime next week as I do some security updates.

Revolvers, The (1966 - 1969)

History

Location:
Boone/Rippey/Perry/Grand Junction, IA
History:

Denny had briefly been in a band called the Vibrations who were based in Perry. Although a member for a short time it provided Denny an introduction to others in Perry who would eventually join the Revolvers. After another brief association with some friends from school, he was introduced to Denny Kretsinger. The two of them got together at Kretsinger’s house in Dawson a few times using the basement for practice. They had made contact with a fellow to play drums, but he met an untimely death at 17 in a house fire.
